Wireless Card For Desktop Computer
Adding a wireless card for your desktop computer will allow you to place your computer wherever you like, whether you have a phone line available or not. Wireless cards for a desktop computer will also allow you to have several computers linked to one wireless router, and save you the trouble of installing several different lines.
Adding a wireless card to a desktop is a fairly easy process. First, you need to purchase a wireless card for a desktop. This will look like a circuit board, possibly with an antenna on the outside of it. Before you do anything, you should make sure your desktop computer is completely shut down and the power cord has been removed. You will have to take the case off of your computer. This is fairly easy. You should just have to remove a few screws and it will slide right off.

You should find expansion slots near the back of the motherboard. You will have to remove the metal spacer bracket, and just slide in the wireless card. Then just put the casing back on, and you done. When you boot up your computer, it will either recognize the new card automatically, or you will have to load the drivers that come with it.
